Dr. Cortez is presently the 2021-2023 César Chávez Provosts’ Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Latin American, Latino, and Caribbean Studies at Dartmouth College. They received their Ph.D. from the Department of American Studies at Brown University in May 2021 and their B.A. in Sociology and Mexican American Studies from The University of Texas at Austin in 2015.
